You'll work with businesses across Melbourne and regional Victoria, helping them understand their financial position without the usual corporate nonsense.
Our data work isn't about building dashboards for the sake of it. You'd be taking financial information from various sources, cleaning it up, and making it useful for actual analysis. This means knowing when a number doesn't make sense and tracking down why, not just accepting what the system spits out.
This role is about having conversations with clients about their finances without sounding like a textbook. You'll meet with business owners, review their situations, and give them advice that's actually practical. Some of our best advisors came from completely different fields and just happen to be good at explaining complicated stuff.
You'd be the person who reads through financial reports, industry news, and economic data to figure out what's actually changing in different sectors. Then you'd write about it in a way that our analysts and clients can use. No finance degree required, but you need to be curious and thorough.

If your background looks like a potential fit, we'll set up a phone call. This isn't a formal interview. We just want to hear about your experience and what you're looking for. You'll talk with someone who actually does the work, not a recruiter reading questions off a script.
We'll give you a financial scenario similar to what we deal with regularly. You'll have a few days to look it over and prepare your analysis. Then we'll meet at our office in East Geelong to discuss your approach. This shows us how you think through problems more than any interview question could.
If things are going well, you'll spend a couple hours with the people you'd be working alongside. Ask them whatever you want about the actual day-to-day work. Most candidates say this is when they really figure out if we're the right fit or not.

Harlow spent six years at a big accounting firm before joining us in 2023. He's the person you go to when the numbers tell different stories and you need to figure out which one is real.
Data Systems Lead
Cassidy manages how we collect and organise financial data. She came from a tech background and figured out finance on the job, which gives her a different perspective on solving data problems.
Client Relations
Blythe works with clients to understand what they actually need from our analysis. She's really good at translating between technical finance talk and normal conversation, which turns out to be harder than it sounds.
We pay market rates based on your experience and the role. Salaries are reviewed annually, and we're transparent about what different positions earn once you're in serious conversations with us.
Most of our team works from the office three days a week and from home the rest. Some roles need more office time because of client meetings. We figure out what makes sense based on the actual work, not arbitrary rules.
If you want to pursue additional qualifications or attend relevant courses, we'll support that financially and give you time to study. Several team members have completed CFA or CPA programs while working here.
We don't do the finance industry thing where people brag about working 70-hour weeks. There are occasionally busy periods, but generally people work normal hours and have time for their lives outside work.
